The handwriting class, which was conducted for 10 days, from the 2nd week of September, guided by Mr. Jayabal aimed to enhance the legibility, consistency, and overall quality of students’ handwriting. It focused on imparting fundamental skills and techniques to fostering better communication through written expression.
The classes were structured to provide a balanced mix of theory and practical exercises. Sessions began with discussions on proper posture, grip, and hand positioning, laying the foundation for effective handwriting. Practical exercises included letter formation, spacing, and connecting letters to form words and sentences. Personalized feedback and guidance were offered to address specific challenges and reinforce positive handwriting habits. This approach aimed to ensure that each student received tailored support for improvement. A significant portion of the class was dedicated to mastering letter formation and achieving consistency in size and style.
For students transitioning to cursive writing, the class provided systematic guidance on cursive letter formation. Emphasis was placed on fluidity, legibility, and the correct execution of cursive strokes. Regular practice sessions allowed students to gradually develop confidence in cursive writing.
