Annual Day is not merely a celebration; it serves as a reflection of our journey, a showcase of our talents, and an affirmation of brighter tomorrows.
The culmination of all events, the Annual Concert and Prize Nite, was held on February 1st in the Convention Hall. The esteemed Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Paul.J. Alukkas, a renowned jeweler and alumnus of the 1993 batch, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Rose Paul, and their son. They were warmly welcomed by Rev. Bro. Principal, the Brothers community, and the School Band. The memorable evening featured an array of captivating events that enlivened the celebration. The program, which transcended mere festivities, reaffirmed the collective strength and vibrant unity of the entire school.
To commence the spiritual journey, the ceremonial lamp was lit, and the school choir, with their harmonious voices, infused the ambiance with celestial presence. The Chief Guest, Mr. and Mrs. Paul, were honored with shawls, bouquets, and mementos by Rev. Bro. Principal and other Rev. Brothers. The classical dancers mesmerized the audience with their graceful movements of ‘Swagatham’. The junior prodigies, through their exuberant dance performance of ‘Magical Teleportation Adventure’, demonstrated how certain movies instill values and morals.
The Orchestra, comprising gifted musicians, serenaded the gathering with their enchanting melodies and symphonies, showcasing their vibrant performance.
Next, the mime-show performers, with their artistic gestures, transported the audience through a realm of silence and imagination, conveying the message of ‘Preservation of Trees’. The girl students, with their vibrant movements and joyful expressions, captivated the audience through a captivating dance performance.
The Junior skit transported all to the world of fairy tale enchantment and adventure by enacting the play – ‘Rapunzel – Untangled’. The concluding act was the senior boys dance, which mesmerized the audience with their dynamic dance.
With their fluid movements, the senior play made a remarkable splash on the stage! The senior play transported everyone to a Shakespearean era through their exceptional acting skills and flawless dialogue delivery. In between these cultural extravaganzas, the prize winners from grades III to XII were honored for their hard work in both curricular and extracurricular activities. Special awardees were also recognized and celebrated.
In his speech, the Chief Guest reminisced about his student days at Montfort, expressing his gratitude for the life lessons he learned during his time there. Montfortian education instilled in him invaluable qualities such as discipline, teamwork, and character development, which have shaped his bright future. Mr. Paul encouraged the parents, acknowledging that their children were enrolled in one of the premier institutions and urging them to support their children in making the most of this opportunity.
As the program drew to a close, the vote of thanks was proposed to express gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event’s success. The 12th graders then took the stage to bid farewell to all, including their alma mater, by singing the farewell song with great emotion and reminiscing about their time there. The program concluded with the school song and photo sessions, symbolizing the end of the spectacular scholastic year.
