Montfort School marked its 109th Annual Prize Nite on 31st January 2026 with dignity and distinction on the school campus. The occasion stood as a celebration of scholastic achievement, artistic expression, and the values that continue to defineMontfortian tradition. The evening was graced by the presence of the management, staff, students, parents, and honoured guests. The programme formally commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr. Jakes Bejoy, a distinguished alumnus of the Batch of 2003 and a renowned Music Director and Global Music Professional. His return to his alma mater was a moment of pride for the school community. This was followed by the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp, symbolising knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment.
A melodious Prayer Song created a calm and reverent ambience. The gathering was then greeted through the Welcome Address, after which a graceful Welcome Dance set the tone for the evening with poise and synchronisation. TheFelicitation Ceremony honoured Mr. and Mrs. Jakes Bejoy and Rev. Bro. Provincial Dominic Savio, acknowledging their leadership, guidance, and continued support to the institution. The programme proceeded with a vibrant Junior Entertainment Dance, inspired by Aladdin, which delighted the audience with its colour, energy, and youthful enthusiasm.
A dignified segment titled “Retirement Bliss” was dedicated to Mrs. Vijaylakshmi, recognising her years of devoted service and her valuable contribution to the academic life of the school.
The Prize Distribution for Grades III to X followed, applauding students for their academic excellence, perseverance, and all-round performance. This was followed by a special Orchestra Performance, during which the school orchestra rendered well-known compositions of Mr. Jakes Bejoy, with the Chief Guest joining them on stage. The collaborative performance added a distinctive musical dimension to the evening.The programme continued with an impressive Senior Entertainment Dance, themed on the Avengers, symbolising unity, strength, and teamwork. The Prize Distribution for Grades XI and XII (ICSE & A.I.) then recognised senior students for their outstanding achievements, followed by the presentation of Special Awards.
A thoughtfully presented Mime Show conveyed important social messages. This was followed by the Creative Lab Presentation, where an audio-visual showcase offered insight into the activities, experiments, and innovative practices carried out in the Creative Lab.The juniors presented a delightful British musical drama titled Mary Poppins and a Spoonful of Change, a creative curation inspired by the classic tale, through song, story, and expressive performance, the play highlighted how understanding and kindness can bring about positive change. The Senior English Drama, based on Greek mythology, “Helen of Troy” showcasing the love for literature which impressed the audience with its narrative depth and confident performances.
The Annual Report outlined the school’s achievements over the academic year. The chief guest’s address, Mr. Jakes Bejoy encouraged students to pursue excellence with commitment and integrity. The evening concluded with the Vote of Thanks, a Farewell Song presented by the Class XII students, and the resonant School Anthem, bringing the celebration to a fitting close.
