The Republic Day celebration was solemnly celebrated on 26 January in the school campus with great patriotic fervour and discipline. The programme was proudly organized by the Montfort NCC Cadets, Scouts, and Guides to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honour the values it upholds.
The special assembly began with an attention command, followed by the unfurling of the National Flag by Rev. Bro. Arockia Sahayaraj, the Principal. This was succeeded by the school salute and the singing of the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride and unity.
The programme was formally introduced by the comperes, who highlighted the significance of Republic Day and the role of NCC, Scouts, and Guides in nation building. The assembly then invoked God’s blessings through a Bible reading, prayer, and prayer song, setting a reverent tone for the occasion. The gathering was warmly welcomed by the student representative.
To mark the spirit of Republic Day, the Montfort NCC Cadets presented a disciplined march past, which was saluted by Rev. Bro. Arockia Sahayaraj, the Principal, reflecting their commitment, coordination, and sense of duty towards the nation.
Students delivered inspiring speeches emphasizing the importance of the Constitution and the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. This was followed by the Republic Day Pledge, where students and staff reaffirmed their commitment to serve the nation responsibly.
A special patriotic song presented by the NCC Cadets and Guides further ignited the spirit of patriotism and reminded everyone of unity in diversity. Rev. Bro. Arockia Sahayaraj, the Principal, then delivered his Republic Day message, sharing valuable insights on constitutional values and responsible citizenship.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, Principal, teachers, NCC officers, Scouts and Guides coordinators, and students for their active participation. The celebration ended on a harmonious note with the school song.
