The Annual Montfort Alumni Association Yercaud get-together was held on 24th and 25th January 2026 at Indira Garden, Trichy, attended by over three hundred alumni, aimed at reconnecting, networking, and strengthening bonds with their alma mater and the institution. It was organised by MADRA ( Montfort Alumni of Delta Region Association) with the slogan Delta Echoes comprising Tiruchirapalli, Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Mayiladuthurai, Nagappatinum, Cuddalore, Thiruvarur, kombakonam
The first day event featured welcome speech, School Song and the Principal’s address based on the current year activities and the recent achievements of the institution during this academic year in a video form was presented by Rev.Bro.Arockia Sahayaraj – Principal and Director along with the proposed plan for the MASA (Montfort Alumni Sports Arena) project. It was followed by the cultural performances, fostering nostalgia and camaraderie and concluded with the fellowship.
The second day proceedings began with the Holy Eucharistic celebration thanking and imploring god’s blessings upon all the alumni and their family members. Then the general body meeting began with a prayer by Rev.Bro.Arockia Sahayaraj – President of MAAY, welcome address by the MADRA President followed by a sharing session allowed alumni to discuss their current professional statuses and share experiences as Montfortians in the society.
Highlights of the Event
- Reconnection and Nostalgia: Alumni were happy to meet their teachers and reminiscing about their school days, which created an emotional and joyful atmosphere.
- Cultural & Interactive Sessions: The event included fun games, musical performances, and talent showcases by both alumni and their teachers.
- Networking and Recognition: The highest turnout as a batch as well as the chapter wise count were awarded with the Rolling Trophy.
- Future Planning: Discussions included plans for enhancing the alumni association and providing possible guidance and support our alma mater in all the possible ways and means.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Jasmine – Executive member of MADRA, farewell song and group photograph leaving the participants with memorable experiences of their school life at Montfort. The reunion successfully fostered a strong sense of community, with participants expressing enthusiasm for future gatherings and continued engagement with the institution.
