“A journey of wonder, a tapestry of delight”
The Juniors school trip to Mysore and Bengaluru was an unforgettable
experience that combined learning, adventure, and fun. The trip, which took place from 6th February to 9th February, was meticulously planned to ensure that students had a holistic experience that catered to their academic, cultural, and recreational interests.
Day 1: Mysore
The journey began to Mysore, a city steeped in history and natural beauty. On the first day, they visited the majestic Maharaja Palace, which showcased the grandeur and opulence of the Wodeyar dynasty. The students were fascinated by the intricate architecture, stunning artwork, and the rich history of the palace. Next, the group proceeded to the St. Philomena’s Church, a beautiful example of Gothic architecture that dates back to the 19th century. The students were impressed by the church’s stunning stained-glass windows, ornate carvings, and peaceful ambiance.
Then, the little preppies visited
the Mysore Zoo, which is home to a wide range of exotic animals. The students were thrilled to see the animals in a close view and learn about their habitats, behaviour, and conservation status. In the evening, they visited the breathtaking Brindavan Garden, which is renowned for its beautiful fountains, gardens, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The students enjoyed the musical fountain show, which was colourful and wonderful!
Day 2: Wonder La Amusement Park, Bengaluru
On the second day, the group travelled to Bangalore and spent the day at
Wonder La Amusement Park. The students had an absolute blast enjoying the various rides, shows, and attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, and 3D movies. The park offered something for everyone, and the students left with big smiles on their faces, for having enjoyed every bit of their moments there.
Day 3: Bengaluru
On the third day, the juniors along with the staff visited the Bannergatta
National Park, which is home to a wide range of wildlife, including tigers, lions, and elephants. The students were fascinated by the opportunity to see these majestic animals in their natural habitats and learn about conservation efforts. Next, all of them proceeded to the Hal Heritage and Aeronautical Museum, which showcases the history of aviation in India. The students were impressed by the vintage aircraft, artifacts, and interactive exhibits that highlighted the evolution of aviation.
Then they visited the Vishveswarya Science Museum, which is dedicated to the life and works of Sir M. Vishveswarya, a renowned engineer and statesman. The museum offered a unique opportunity for the students to learn about the applications of science and technology in everyday life.
Finally they boarded the train for their return journey, having arrived in Salem at 11.30 pm, they got into the bus which took them to their school. Thus the students had the opportunity to explore historical landmarks, natural wonders, and cultural attractions, as well as to enjoy recreational activities that promoted bonding and teamwork. The trip was well-planned, and the students were accompanied by experienced teachers and staff who ensured their safety and well-being throughout the journey.
