The canonical visit of the provincial superior of Yercaud Province Rev. Bro. Domnic Savio to Montfort school on 08th September 2025 was a memorable and inspiring occasion for both staff and students.
The day began with the morning assembly conducted by Class 8 A, with the theme “Rise and Repeat Until You Shine.” On the feast of Blessed Mother Mary’s birthday, the Provincial Superior solemnly garlanded the statue of Mother Mary, seeking her blessings on the school community. The assembly included a Bible reading, prayer, prayer song, thought for the day, Thirukkural, a skit on perseverance, highlights of inventions of 2025 and a scientific explanation of superstitions.
The Principal Rev.Brother Arockia Sahayaraj addressed the gathering, appreciating the theme and reminding students that true greatness is achieved through hard work, discipline, and determination. The highlight of the assembly was the inspiring message of the Provincial Superior, who shared three valuable tips for success:
1. Prayer – to remain spiritually grounded
2. Perseverance – to overcome challenges
3. Trust in oneself – to believe in one’s potential
In the evening, a staff meeting was held at the School Library, to falicitate by Rev. Bro. Dominic Savio. The Principal, Rev. Bro. Arockia Sahayaraj, appreciated his courage, dedication, and systematic leadership during his tenure. In his address, the Provincial Superior expressed gratitude to the community and teachers for their sincere service and urged them to focus not only on academics but also on character building, discipline, and service to humanity. He emphasized that Montfort School, being the mother institution, must always set high standards through dedication and selfless service.
The day concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Provincial Superior for his gracious presence, valuable guidance, and thought-provoking message. His visit left a lasting impression on both staff and students, inspiring them to strive for excellence in all aspects of life.
