On the 4th of October 2025, the Montfort School community gathered in the Convention Hall for a special occasion marked by the felicitation of two esteemed individuals—Dr. Robert Bellarmin, recipient of the Dr. Radhakrishnan Best Teacher Award conferred by the Government of Tamil Nadu, and ANO Pandian, NCC Officer—as well as the blessing of the newly renovated gymnasium.
The program began with a reception and band performance, setting a festive and ceremonial tone. This was followed by a prayer service, including a Bible reading and a melodious prayer song, invoking divine blessings on the day’s events.
The Welcome Address formally opened the celebration, after which the distinguished guests were honored. The Chief Guest, Mr. Pranay Kaliyappan—actor, performer, athlete, and proud alumnus of Montfort (Batch of 2012)—was warmly felicitated. The school also proudly recognized the Guest of Honour, Fr. Arul Maaran, along with Dr. Robert Bellarmin and ANO Mr. Pandian for their outstanding contributions to education and youth development.
Adding a joyful note to the event, the junior students presented a vibrant dance performance, delighting everyone present. This was followed by a speech by Mr. Dinesh Babu, a student of Dr. Robert Bellarmin, who spoke eloquently about his mentor’s achievements and influence on students.Dr. Robert Bellarmin then addressed the gathering, sharing inspiring words on dedication, values, and the spirit of education.
The spotlight then turned to the new gymnasium, whose walls had been beautifully painted by the creative students of Class 11. Their artistic efforts were showcased through a video presentation by the C-LAB, highlighting themes of fitness, motivation, and teamwork.
The Chief Guest and the Principal addressed the audience, commending the students’ enthusiasm and urging them to pursue excellence with humility and purpose. The school also officially welcomed Mrs. Selva Nayagi, the newly appointed Councillor, into the Montfort family.
The event concluded with the blessing of the gym by the priest, a heartfelt vote of thanks, and the school song, bringing the celebration to a warm and memorable close.
