Our recent school excursion to Skypark, nestled in the scenic hills of Yercaud, was an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, learning, and nostalgia. What made the trip even more special was that Skypark is owned by one of our school’s proud alumni, Mr. Sridhar Muthusamy, who graciously hosted us for the entire day and ensured we were well taken care of.
The day commenced with a serene prayer service held in the convention hall, allowing us a quiet moment of reflection before the excitement ahead. We then began a refreshing two kilometre walk to Skypark, surrounded by the natural beauty of Yercaud’s landscape. Upon arrival, we were met with a vibrant world of activities and attractions that sparked joy and curiosity in every corner.
From ziplining and a high-altitude glass bridge to an exhilarating adventure course, every moment was thrilling. We explored a tunnel aquarium filled with mesmerizing marine life, and a spooky haunted house that sent chills down our spines. The bird aviary was especially delightful, housing a variety of charming and friendly birds. The trampoline park, VR gaming zones, and the glowing tunnel adorned with luminescent artwork added a touch of magic to our experience.
A fascinating part of the day was visiting the British Heritage Museum, where we got a glimpse into Yercaud’s colonial past. It featured authentic artifacts used by the British, including vintage tools, postcards, and household items, offering us a window into the region’s rich history.
We also tried our hands at archery and shooting games, conducted simple science experiments, and enjoyed delicious treats like pizza, popcorn, milkshakes, and ice creams from various stalls. Before leaving, we took a moment to explore the gift shop, which was brimming with toys, souvenirs, and tempting chocolates — the perfect way to take a piece of Skypark home with us.
As the sun dipped behind the hills, we returned with hearts full of joy and laughter. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr.Sridhar and the staff of skypark for not only opening the doors of Skypark to us but also for making the day so comfortable, meaningful, and fun. We thank our Principal Rev.Bro Arockia Sahayaraj for making this day out possible for the Montfort family to relax and rejuvenate ourselves from the daily routine and Bro Lourdhsamy for providing us with scrumptious lunch.
It was more than just a trip — it was a day that brought learning to life, strengthened friendships, and created memories that will stay with us forever.
