MASS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Mass of the Holy Spirit marks the beginning of the academic year. It is a special liturgy where the school community gathers to invoke God’s wisdom, guidance, and blessings for the new academic year 2026-2027. It brings together students, staff, and Brothers regardless of their religious backgrounds to dedicate the upcoming academic year activities to God’s glory. The liturgy symbolizes that education involves spiritual and personal formation, not just intellectual growth.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev.Fr.David Adaikalam – Director of Holy Cross Noviciate, Yercaud to foster spiritual growth and to pray for guidance, peace, and thanksgiving for the new academic year. During the homily, the celebrant was sharing about the gift of the holy spirit – Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control and the impact of it by the intervention of the Holy Spirit in everyone’s life especially in the life of the students community. He also encouraged the students to surrender everything to God.
Prayers of the Faithful were offered for the leaders of the country and the church, world peace, the community of brothers, staff members, past and the present students and their family members and the intentions of everyone gathered. Many symbolic objects were offered as a symbol of surrendering everything to be blessed by creator.
The holy mass concluded with the final hymn for the Holy Spirit as the priest was blessing the gathering. A note of gratitude was expressed to the celebrant by Rev.Bro.Arockia Sahayaraj – Principal. It was a grace filled morning for everyone gathered.
