Montfort School ushered in the Academic Year 2026–2027 with a joyous and meaningful Welcome Assembly on 1st June 2026. The gathering brought together the entire Montfortian family in a spirit of gratitude, enthusiasm, and anticipation as the school embarked on another year of learning, growth, and excellence.
The assembly commenced with a prayer service, Bible reading, and prayer song, seeking God’s abundant blessings upon the school community. The atmosphere was one of hope and renewed purpose as students, and staff joined together to mark the beginning of a new academic journey.
A warm and heartfelt welcome was extended to the new students who have become part of the Montfort family this year. They were encouraged to embrace every opportunity, build meaningful friendships, and make the most of the enriching experiences that await them. The assembly also warmly welcomed the new members of the teaching fraternity, whose expertise, dedication, and passion for education will contribute significantly to the growth and development of the students.
The occasion was further enriched by the welcoming of the new Rev. Brothers and sisters who have joined the Montfort community. Their presence strengthens the institution’s mission of fostering academic excellence, character formation, and value-based education. The school community expressed its delight and gratitude as they became an integral part of the Montfort family.
A special felicitation was held in honour of Mr. Thomas Amal Raj J., who was conferred the honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the field of education. The achievement was applauded by all, reflecting the school’s appreciation for excellence and lifelong commitment to learning.
One of the most significant moments of the assembly was the introduction of the school’s guiding theme for the Academic Year 2026–2027, “Propel to Procure Prominence,” by the Principal, Rev. Bro. Arockia Sahaya Raj. Through his address, Brother Principal highlighted the importance of perseverance, discipline, innovation, and purposeful action in achieving excellence. He encouraged every Montfortian to strive for distinction while remaining rooted in the values of humility, integrity, and service.
The theme presentation further illuminated the vision behind the theme, inspiring students and staff to pursue their goals with determination and confidence. Reflections on new beginnings shared by members of the staff reinforced the message that every academic year offers fresh opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.
In his inspiring address, Rev. Bro. Arockia Sahaya Raj motivated students to dream ambitiously, work diligently, and uphold the noble values that define a true Montfortian. His words set a positive and encouraging tone for the year ahead.
The assembly concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to God Almighty, the management, the Principal, Rev. Brothers and Rev. Sisters, teachers, students, and all those who contributed to making the programme memorable and meaningful.
As the School Song resonated across the campus, the Montfortian family stepped into the new academic year with renewed enthusiasm, united in purpose and inspired to achieve greater heights. The Welcome Assembly served as a fitting beginning to a year filled with promise, possibilities, and the pursuit of excellence.
