On 25th of August, the students of Montfort from Grade “IX to XII” had a seminar based on the theme “JOURNEY TOWARDS MY CAREER”. The Seminar was addressed by Dr. Bro. George Palackal, who was from Montfort counseling and Educational Services, (MCES) located at Chennai.
At the start of the sessions, Bro. George was felicitated by Bro. Francis and Bro. Binu. After the introduction Bro.George began his session on career guidance. He explained about the courses to be chosen in future according to their goals and aims. He had also shared his experience based on the happenings of his life and the experience he had in 155 different schools with overall 20000 students for whom he had taken seminar on career guidance.
The Session was for about 4 hours in which the students felt motivated and inspired. There was a topic on Mobile phone usage, on which all the students had written a 15 – minute survey test to prove if the students were really addicted to mobile phones. Almost all the students answered honestly and about 30% of them were really addicted to mobile phones based on the survey.
The Session ended with great confidence on all the students’ faces. Bro. George had also asked for the reviews based on the seminar, everyone gave a positive rating. After the lunch break, the students of grade IX and XII resumed the session. The seminar continued for grade X and XI in the afternoon.
