The Republic Day celebration at Montfort School was held with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on January 26th. The program commenced at 9:00 a.m., with Rev. Bro. Binu Mathew being given a guard of honor by the NCC cadets. Following this, Rev. Bro. Binu Mathew hoisted the National Flag. The entire gathering joined in singing the National Anthem, filling the air with pride and respect for the nation.
The event commenced with a solemn prayer, Bible reading, and a soulful prayer song, setting a reflective tone for the program. A short introduction on the significance of Republic Day was then presented, highlighting the day’s importance in India’s history. The highlight of the event was the NCC parade, which showcased exemplary discipline and coordination. A contingent of 25 students, led by Master Saransh of Grade XIII-C, performed an outstanding parade. The contingent’s impressive skills were a testament to their rigorous training under NCC Master, Mr. Pandiyan. Rev. Bro. Binu Mathew, the Chief Guest, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech.
He began by emphasizing the concept of “Unity in Diversity.”
He urged students to remember and honor the sacrifices of national leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. He encouraged students to uphold unity despite cultural differences and stressed the importance of following the laws of the nation to contribute positively to the society.
In a synchronized manner, the Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and Junior ICSE students held a separate Republic Day celebration on the Mayfield campus. The event commenced with the hoisting of the National flag by Rev.Bro.Arockiasamy. The senior students of grade 12 presided over the assembly, which commenced with a prayer service, speeches, and inspiring quotes.
Rev.Bro.Arockiasamy addressed the gathering with a speech that evoked a profound sense of patriotic sentiments in the hearts of all present. He emphasized the significance of the meaning of the Republic and the constitution. The program concluded on a harmonious note with the school song, leaving everyone inspired by the values of patriotism and unity. The celebration was a fitting tribute to the spirit of the Republic, leaving an indelible impression on all who attended.
