Montfort School Celebrated Freshers’ Day with Joy and Camaraderie
The campus of Montfort School came alive on 08 th June, 2025, with excitement and warmth as the institution celebrated Freshers’ Day to welcome the new students into the Montfort family. The event was thoughtfully planned to help the newcomers feel at home and to foster a sense of unity among the old and new students. The day began with a guided tour around the campus, where senior students accompanied the freshers, introducing them to the various facilities, classrooms, and important landmarks of the school. This initiative not only familiarized the new students with their surroundings but also encouraged interaction and friendship among peers.
In the evening, a delightful cultural program was organized, setting the stage for joy and entertainment. The program commenced with a Bible reading and prayer, followed by a soulful prayer song that brought a serene start to the evening. The cultural program featured vibrant dances by both boys and girls, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm. Adding fun and laughter to the event were engaging games like bursting balloons, the lucky circle, and ‘keep the bindi for a girl’, which drew cheers and participation from both students and teachers.
The highlight of the evening was the inspiring speech by the Principal, Rev. Bro. Sahaya Raj, who warmly welcomed the new students and motivated them to embrace the Montfort spirit of excellence, discipline, and community. The Brothers of the community and teachers also actively participated in the celebrations, further strengthening the bond among students and staff. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating everyone who contributed to making the day memorable.
By the end of the celebration, the freshers were beaming with joy, their initial homesickness forgotten, as they felt a deep sense of belonging and excitement for the journey ahead.
