The Silver Jubilee reunion assembly for the batch of 1999 was held on 05-10-24 at Montfort school convention hall. A total of 55 Students, past Principals and Teachers were received with a badge and accorded welcome with the School band. This was followed by hoisting of the respective House Flags.
National Flag – Bro. Principal, School Flag – Mr. Antony Paul, SPL batch of 1999. Montfort house Flag – House Captain Mr. Ashwin Alluri, Patrick House Flag – House Captain Mr. Kima, Gabriel house Flag – House Captain Mr. Kamalesh.
Alumni are the heart of every institution and represent the ongoing legacy and achievements of it. They form a bridge between the past, present and future. Their success stories become a testament to our schools commitment to nurturing talent and fostering growth.
Prayer, Bible reading, prayer song, prayer dance and welcome address followed. Many entertainment Programmes like junior dance, theme song and skit by Students were enjoyed by the batch of 1999.
This was followed by the most significant part of the programme – Introducing and felicitating the TALOFIANS. The introduction was organised by Mr. Eshwar Elango, Secretary, Montfort Alumni – Association, Yercaud. Bro. Principal honoured each one of them with a sach, a rose and a memento.
The batch of 1999 gifted a memento of School logo carved in Tanjore painting to Bro.Principal.
This was followed by a speech by the SPL of the batch – Mr. Antony Paul. He shared his nostalgic memories of school days and gave the credit of their success to the school. He said Montfort played a very important role in shaping them to face the challenges of life and to be successful in their chosen careers. He advised the present students to make use of all opportunities at school and assured them that they were lucky to be educated at Montfort, which is one of the best institution.
In his speech the Principal, Bro.Domnic Savio, appreciated the love, affection and loyalty of alumni of batch of 1999 towards their alma mater. He advised the present students to become successful like them through hard and smart work and utilise all the opportunities that lie before them.
It was an incredible opportunity to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate the spirit that unites all of us as proud Montfortians. True happiness is meeting old school mates in their alma mater and realize that no matter how many years have passed the Montfortian bond remains unbreakable.
